Two Berwickshire policemen, on traffic duty one night, picked up a vehicle traveling towards them at over 300 mph on their radar gun. The speeding motorist turned out to be a low flying RAF Tornado. When the police registered an official complaint, they were told to count their blessings: the aircrafts Weapon systems had apparently locked onto the Radar Gun, and only a last minute evasion by the pilot prevented an air to ground missile being unleashed in their direction.
A great story, but to be taken with a pinch of salt.
